Our club

Lions Club of Wheelers Hill

Since 1994, our club has developed a proud tradition of helping those in need, providing assistance to a wide-ranging group of people and organisations.

We have volunteered thousands of hours to the community over that time and contributed almost $1million worth of goods and services, locally, domestically and internationally.

Varied social events have always been a regular feature on our calendar over the years with regular interesting guest speakers normally being provided at our second dinner meeting each month.

Our club has a diverse membership of 43 people who originated from 13 different countries. We always welcome new members with new ideas.

We enjoy working to benefit our community and enjoy good fellowship, which often leads to the development of close friendships. Many learn new skills through managing projects and assuming leadership roles.

Making a difference

Each of the service clubs within Australia is grouped by state and then into districts. There are five districts within Victoria, and we do great work in District 201V5, located within Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, along with Healesville, Marysville, Eildon, Yea, Seymour, Nagambie, Euroa, Shepparton and Dookie.
