Our club

The Lions Club of Park Orchards was formed in October 1977. It is a community focused with 33 active members.

A recent project of which we are very proud is the Community Recovery Wall which was created to reflect the resilience of the local community during the pandemic.

While the initial project scope was to build a Wall in which families could leave inscriptions and install a Time Capsule, it expanded to include to include a drinking fountain and a large mural depicting the local flora and fauna.

177 Park Orchards families purchased “bricks” in the wall and a significant number made contributions to the Time Capsule. This project was all about the welfare of the community however it still generated a healthy surplus which will go towards our future welfare activities.

Making a difference

Each of the service clubs within Australia is grouped by state and then into districts. There are five districts within Victoria, and we do great work in District 201V5, located within Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, along with Healesville, Marysville, Eildon, Yea, Seymour, Nagambie, Euroa, Shepparton and Dookie.
