Our club
Lions Club of Box Hill
Box Hill Lions club was formed on the 11th August 1960 and was the 165th club formed in Australia. We have around 20 members, but are always looking for more!! We are a very friendly and diverse club – we are sure you will fit in well!
We serve – we meet the needs of our local communities and the world. Our club has a strong focus on young people – we run an encouragement award for year 9 students, and we participate in the Lions Youth of the Year program. We send deserving young people to our Licola camp in the high country, and with other clubs in our zone organise a community fair.
We raise a lot of money for local, national and international causes. You will regularly find us at Bunnings Box Hill running the Sausage Sizzle, and at Christmas we sell Christmas Trees in Elgar Road in Mont Albert North. We also sell those delicious LIons Christmas Cakes.
We do lots more besides. If you would like to learn more, please complete the “get in touch” form to contact us.
Lions District 201V5
Making a difference
Each of the service clubs within Australia is grouped by state and then into districts. There are five districts within Victoria, and we do great work in District 201V5, located within Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, along with Healesville, Marysville, Eildon, Yea, Seymour, Nagambie, Euroa, Shepparton and Dookie.
