Lyndhurst Lions Club

Date of Club Charter: 08th January 2009.

Charter President: PMCC Lion Malik Zaveer.

Projects:

1. 40 foot container of hospital beds, wheel chairs, electric hospital appliances etc; to the value of A$ 75,000 were donated to District 306 B1 Sri Lanka, to be channeled to hospitals in the East.

2. A Three wheeler(Trishaw) valued at A$ 9000 was donated to a victim of the Easter bomb blast in Sri Lanka.

3. Food packs donated to Food Bank.

4. Many on going projects such Maintainence of a Home for under-privileged girls, called “ Salsevana” in Mattegoda, Sri Lanka to the value of A$ 50,000.

5. Donations to Salvation Army Christmas project.

Making a difference

Each of the service clubs within Australia is grouped by state and then into districts. There are five districts within Victoria, and we do great work in District 201V5, located within Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, along with Healesville, Marysville, Eildon, Yea, Seymour, Nagambie, Euroa, Shepparton and Dookie.
