Lions Club of Ashwood-Mt Waverley was formed in 2003. We have established excellent relationships with local schools and leverage off those relationships to support many activities for children in need within our local community. 

Some of those ongoing activities include sending children from primary schools to a week-long camp at the Lions camp at Licola; awarding community service awards at secondary schools; and, participating in the annual Lions Youth Of The Year Quest in which we have had a number of entrants from secondary schools developing and showcasing their leadership skills.

Over the years we have assisted the community in many varied tasks such as assisting changing batteries in residential smoke alarms, creating sensory gardens at residences for the sensory impaired and providing a trampoline for a family with an autistic child.We have assisted City of Monash by catering for events such as Australia Day and NAIDOC week celebrations, Sounds Of Summer and an outdoor movie night.

To fund these activities we hold sausage sizzles, sell the ever popular Lions Xmas cakes and host theatre nights.
